This is a lovely White by Vera Wang wedding gown. What makes buying my gown at $475 a total steal? A myriad of things I wish I considered before investing in a new gown:
-It is white, not the readily available ivory. It took a long time to preorder, but was so worth it. It is striking in white.
-It cost $998, plus a good $500 in alterations for a better fit, walkable length, and the many bustles for every layer that are all necessary in order to make a gown of such size work.
-It comes with a handmade sash (can be seen clearly in the photo with shoes and jewelry) that is a replica of the one that matches this dress in all other colors (for some reason Vera never made one to match the white dress). They go for $148. I will include mine for free.
Between the alterations and sash, plus taxes, this same gown straight from the store will cost 4 times more than what my gown goes for. It's been worn once, professionally dry cleaned and packaged, and is about as good as new.
I live in Washington DC area. You are welcome to come by and try it on in person. It is also still sold at David's Bridal, so you can see it up close and try it on at your local store before making your decision to order. Feel free to send me any questions.
