The most beautiful Pronovias dress. It is in near perfect condition. I did a total inspection (as did my sister!) and we couldn't find a single tear or rip or bead missing. It was worn once on the big day and was cleaned the next day by my amazing sister. It has been in plastic, in storage and the original dress bag since 10/10/10. Good luck, maybe?
I am 5'10" so this is the long version of the dress - so technically this dress was $4,500 but hey not everyone has #tallgirlproblems. I wrote 6'2" because I believe my heels were 3 inches tall and my dress still covered them when I stood still and even mostly as I walked. My purple shoes peeked out just a bit.
The color is still perfect as is all the lace, beading and even the system for the bustle held strong. The bottom of the dress still looks like it wasn't even worn let alone got dirty. I won't give it a 100% because it was worn once, but I would think it is holding strong at a 97% or so. :-)
My personal favorite part of the dress are the cap sleeves which can come off. I had the buttons sewn in so I could have the option but between the vibe of the dress and the cap sleeves, I kinda felt like Juliet or bride from an older time. I don't know if I'm doing it justice, but it made me feel feminine and beautiful and the confidence showed in the pictures. Who doesn't want that?
I don't know the exact measurements of the dress but it is a wedding dress size 8 and I've worn an 8/10 in real people clothes my whole life. I'm more of an athlete type so I've got my curves and my muscles to work with and this dress gave me the space to be me. It isn't skin tight like a mermaid and yet it hugged my body enough to see my figure - the perfect combination for me.
This dress is perfect for a church wedding, a beach wedding, almost any kind of wedding. It is heavy because of the luxorious fabric, but it doesn't have mounds of tulle to contend with and the bustle system can make it even more functional for a beautiful beach walk up the aisle. The options of the sleeve and the modest neckline/back would fit most church decorum (I was married in a Catholic church albeit a not very strict one).
