Authentic Vera Wang Octavia wedding dress in nude and ivory. Purchased as a sample end of 2017, label size 4. Unaltered in length and size. I have had it cleaned. Cups were added but can be removed. Not worn down the aisle as we eloped. Only tried on for the listing photos (lost some weight since so it didn't fit as well)
Due to the delicate pattern of the tulle, a few threads have come loose off the pattern from people trying on (see photo with red arrow). My seamstress said it is easy to fix- just snip off the loose bits and sew new thread on. There is also a clean cut on the tulle at the bottom, easily fixed with invisible thread. I was quoted around 100 USD to fix everything but it depends who you ask. They are unnoticeable anyway due to the volume and how it is supposed to look. So you could choose not to spend the money but I just wanted you to be aware.
This dress is a stunner. The top is edgy with carefully hand ruched ivory silk tulle over a nude base, paired with an effortless skirt with layers and layers of alternating crisp and soft tulle, with honeycomb patterned tulle pieces laid on top for the ultimate couture presentation. There is a nude lining which doesn’t show when you are still but when you move around, the colour peeks through which is gorgeous. The dress has a lot of movement and the lightest, softest ballgown I’ve ever worn. The skirt itself isn’t poofy princess, but rather a softer, gentler shape that is bridal but not ridiculous. It was the only ballgown that made me feel like a woman than girly!
